"I will start by mentioning that Dr. Kouris is an excellent doctor all-around. He is compassionate, very knowledgeable, extremely polite, and has a wonderful team - Sheila and Suzy are the best!I have known Dr. Kouris since 2017. I had 3 procedures - Breast reduction, Tummy Tuck and brow lift. I am 54 years old looking like i am in my 40s. I love all 3 of my procedures but my brow lift is incredibly natural. No one realizes what I had done. I am receiving compliments about how young I look. Ultimately, I believe the doctor that makes you look younger and feel extremely confident in your own skin has a magic touch! I highly recommend him to anyone who is in the search of doing any plastic surgery. Give Dr. Kouris a shot, you will not be disappointed."- M.K. / Google / Dec 27, 2019

"UPDATE: The clinic called me back and asked if I could come in for complementary Botox to make up for the previous problems. The appointment went well. I met with Dr. Kouris and let him know that he didn't have to completely comp the Botox but he insisted and profusely apologized. He is a nice man and he truly care about his patients and their time. Kudos to him for making things right:) I’ll start with saying that I hardly ever write a poor review. However, I am very disappointed with this clinic. I made an appointment over a month ago for the 12th of December and let the receptionist know that I would be coming in during my lunch break. She assured me that they would be able to see me in a timely manner. I was supposed to be receiving a consult for skincare as well as Botox. Eight days before my appointment, I was contacted by Dr. Kouris’ receptionist reminding me of my appointment on the 5th. I let her know that she was mistaken that my appointment was made for the 12th as my husband was out of town during the 5th and I would not have made an appointment for that day. She apologized and updated her schedule for the 12th. On the 9th I was once again contacted by the receptionist letting me know that the individual who would be assisting with the skincare consult would be out of the country on the 12th and would not be able to see me during my appointment and let me know that I would need to make another appointment to see her. I was a bit bothered by this given this was the second “mishap” with scheduling but she let me know that she would have the person give me a call the following day so I could at least speak with her. I thought it was a nice gesture, so I agreed. I was able speak with the individual but as expected, she ultimately said she would need to see me to make any definite suggestions. Well, today I showed up for my appointment at 12:00 and was given paperwork to complete. I let the receptionist know, once again, that I was on my lunch break and needed to be sure they were aware that I didn’t have much time. She let me know that she would remind the clinic team and not to worry, they would get me back in time. Well, 45 minutes later, I was still waiting to see someone from the clinic staff. I had to leave before seeing anyone. The receptionist said “Sorry, we had another patient JUST stall everything”. I told her that I was more bothered by the fact that nothing had been communicated to me than the fact that they were running behind. I was also bothered by the receptionist lack of concern that I had to leave before being seen. I would expect more than a simple “sorry”. The explanation was only given after I prompted for more information. A clinic that allows the receptionist to be the face of the organization should strive for a more sympathetic, organized, communicative, individual."- E.Z. / Google / Dec 20, 2019
Patients hoping to undergo neck lift treatment generally have visibly loose, hanging skin in the neck region. This loose skin deformity is generally caused by several factors, including major weight loss and aging. Whatever the reason may be, sagging neck skin creates an unflattering look, which can only be corrected with skin excision and a tightening technique. If you are at a healthy weight, but you feel challenged by sagging folds of skin, surface lines, and wrinkles along the neck, a neck lift may be a suitable answer.
During neck lift treatment, IV sedation or general anesthesia is used. The incision point is placed behind or in front of your ears while another one may be placed under your chin. If isolated areas of fat exist, liposuction of the neck would first be performed. Next, any loose skin will be removed and the underlying tissue and remaining skin will be pulled tight. This technique is conducted until the desired shape and contour has been achieved. Even though sutures are used, scars should not be seen since they reside beneath your chin. Nonsurgical options can help rejuvenate the surface of your skin, such as a chemical peel or laser skin resurfacing, to produce a vibrantly glowing appearance.
What to Expect
After a neck lift treatment, there will likely be some bruising, swelling, and moderate discomfort, but these effects will fade around 7 – 10 days. You should rest and avoid strenuous activity for 2 – 3 weeks to assist in the recovery. While recovering, clothing should not touch the neck area. You should notice visible results almost immediately. In addition, it has been said that the neck lift surgery can make one of the biggest impacts to an individual's profile, shaving years off their appearance.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a neck lift cost?
Costs for your neck surgery will be reviewed in your initial consultation with Dr. Kouris. As soon as he has developed your unique surgical plan, he will be able to estimate prices for the anesthesia, facility, and more. To help make your neck surgery easy to afford, Kouris M.D. Cosmetic Plastic Surgery takes several payments methods, plus, we can tell you more about how to get low-interest medical financing.
What about nonsurgical options?
Neck lift surgery is the best option to eliminate excess skin, particularly if it droops or hangs. Although there are some nonsurgical skin tightening procedures that may give you mild improvements, neck lift surgery is the most effective solution to redefine and smooth your neckline.
Will I have visible scars?
A neck lift does require one incision under the chin, as well as two more close to the ears. These are made so the scars are very difficult for others to see. Dr. Kouris tries very hard during neck lift surgery to minimize visible scarring. A team member will explain scar management instructions, which will encourage your incisions to heal flat and thin.
Can I combine a neck lift with other facial surgeries?
At your initial consultation, you can bring up that you are thinking about another surgery, like a facelift or chin augmentation, along with a neck lift. It's normal for two or more face surgeries to be done together to get your best results. If you are concerned about an undefined jawline or weak chin, tell Dr. Kouris so he can develop a plan that meets all your goals.
Should I get a neck lift or liposuction?
Based on your concerns and goals, you might consider combining a neck lift with surgical liposuction. A lift, plus lipo may be best if you are concerned about both loose skin and stubborn fat pockets in your neck. Dr. Kouris can help you choose whether a neck lift, lipo, or a combination of both should be included in your surgical plan.
